Back to school, baby!

Mmmmmmm.....what's that smell, you say? Why, it's freshly-sharpened #2 pencils, which can only mean one thing....school is back in session! Mommas everywhere are relishing the quiet, enjoying lunch with a friend (finally!), and getting their first haircut in months. Am I right, or am I right? Don't get me wrong....I love my kiddos like a bee loves honey, but I was over summer in mid-July and happy as a lark to finally have both tots in school. And what better to celebrate this momentous occasion than to decorate the front doors!

Don't these cute school buses just shout "We're back to school, baby!" Love 'em and all that they stand for.

Till next time,

Home of the brave (and burlap)

Burlap anchor with name - $35
I don't know if it's a Southern thing or what, but around these parts, we keep our American flag up all year long. And we don't just decorate for major holidays like Christmas and Easter, we decorate for all the ones in between too, no matter how small they are. Lastly, we like to get a lot of bang for our buck. So, when it comes to decorating for the fourth of July, I take advantage of the fact that it is sandwiched between two other patriotic holidays, and start around the last week of May. My favorite Americana decor consists of galvanized buckets, navy or red gingham, paper pinwheels, miniature flags, anything with stars, striped fabric, red geraniums, old-fashioned firecrackers, and of course, BURLAP! Whether you are looking for something to put on your door for the 4th or all summer long, I've got you covered.
Burlap sailboat - $35
Burlap flag star - $35 (I have one ready to pick up or ship!)

Burlap USA star burlap - $35 (I also have one of these ready to pick up or ship!)

School's out for summer (almost)....

How is it already May? I feel like my kids just got back from Christmas break and we're already planning for preschool graduation in a few weeks?!?  If you are like me and looking for a way to properly thank the teachers that have not only taught your children, but wiped their tears, kissed their scraped knees, and hugged their necks all year long, look no further.

Order them plain or customized and they are the perfect "thank you" for that special teacher. $35 each

Lucky me!

Celebrating St. Patrick's Day after two kids is a far cry from what it used to be, as I'm sure other moms out there would agree. But, it doesn't mean I feel any less lucky or any less of a reason to celebrate....in fact, even more so! So this year, I may replace my green beer with leprechaun juice and forego the rowdy bar scene for a quiet night at home with the fam, but I will still show some love for the Irish....starting with my front door!
Polka dotted shamrock burlap door hanger - $35
How will you "go green" this St. Patty's day?
